(February 2015) Over the last few years, Handyman Connection has been ranked consistently as the top handyman company and as one of North America’s overall top remodeling company. A few weeks ago at their annual conference, Handyman Connection celebrated their franchises’ accomplishments as well.
The 2015 Handyman Connection conference was held this past January in Tucson, AZ. Handyman Connection, North America’s original handyman services and home improvement specialists, hosts the annual conference to recognize local franchise owners and craftsmen for their outstanding service to their customers. Highlights of the awards that were handed out included the Craftsman of the Year and Franchisee of the Year.
The award for Craftsman of the 2014 Year went to Herbert Salguera of Maryland for his stellar service to the customers of Handyman Connection of Rockville. Perhaps the most anticipated honor of the conference was the Franchisee of the Year award, awarded to the top performing franchise owner for the year. The award winner is determined using a combination of criteria, including total sales, Net Promoter Score (NPS), market penetration, representation of the brand, and leadership in and of the Handyman Connection brand. This award for the 2014 year was bestowed upon Steve McCoy of Colorado Springs. This is the third time that McCoy has won this award in the last five years.

Other awards included the Customer Service Award, based upon the NPS. The NPS is a worldwide standard for organizations to measure, understand, and improve their customer experience. Handyman Connection considers it the key to driving Handyman Connection’s loyalty and growth. This year, the Customer Service Award went to Bryan and Tiffany Peters of Winchester, VA with an NPS score of 84.07%.
2014’s Rookie of the Year was Dustin Kreiger of Blue Ash, Ohio. He boasts over 200% in profit growth, and has been within the top 10 Handyman Connection locations in regards to sales growth and market share. He also won the Navigator Award for this past year, an award presented to the franchisee who is seen as a champion of the Handyman Connection brand.
